Sugarcane toilet rolls are made from sugar cane fibre. They are a more environmentally-friendly alternative to conventional virgin wood fibre and even recycled paper-based products.
Sugarcane toilet rolls swap out the main ingredient used to create tissue – usually virgin wood fibre, recycled paper or some other pulp – with bagasse. A by-product of juicing, this residue is primarily made up of sugar cane fibre. This fibre is then pulped, wet-laid, and then pressed into sheets which are dried before being cut and embossed. Because it’s completely natural, sugar cane toilet rolls biodegrade easily and don’t create any chemical waste.
